George  
George has become one of Danny Sullivan Group’s brightest apprentices working on HS2. Assisting with general labouring jobs his role also consists of being Fire Marshall which tasks include 5-point checks and checking weekly alarms. After being interested and loving the diversity the workforce has to offer, George decided to be a part of the Danny Sullivan Group where it’s not just a job, but a career.

Our DSG family prides itself on building a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we work in. The three main things that George has learnt the importance of during his apprenticeship and has taken away with him are the importance of teamwork, safety and diversity and inclusion.

In the future, George sees himself progressing in the field, learning new things and working his way up the ladder.

Gheorghe  
Since being enrolled on an Apprenticeship with DSG, Gheorghe has been able work his way up in various construction roles and is currently fulfilling the role of a Frontline Supervisor. His determination and passion to work in the construction industry has allowed him to be able to keep motivated. He is inspired to make a change in the industry by being a positive influence and role model and continues to bring joy to the workforce.

His previous experience in general labour positions and groundworks has given him the fundamental skills and attributes needed to progress within this sector. These skills that he has gained are knowledgeable attributes that have helped him develop within the company and into these positions.

The academy has been able to help provide a range of training in order to help aid him in his course and allow him to flourish within the company. Many opportunities are available for all different skill sets and for those willing to show good work ethic and determination for development.

Kevin  
Marketing graduate Kevin, who was previously homeless, is now completing his Level 2 Groundworks Apprenticeship at DSG. Since being with DSG he has learnt the importance of health and safety on site and the regulations put in place to keep all staff safe and out of harms way. After completion apprenticeship he would like to become a supervisor or foreman.
